CANADA’S SURVIVORMAN AND A POPULAR TELEVISION PERSONALITY SHARES HIS SESQUATCH.
Toronto, April 27 – Today, SESQUI revealed that Survivorman Les Stroud is behind the first SESQUATCH in SESQUI’s GUESS THAT SESQUATCH contest. The contest invites audiences to identify the notable Canadians behind personalized SESQUATCH for a chance to win exclusive prizes. SESQUATCH is a digital spirit animal that changes to reflect each participant’s ideas of home and identity.
Stroud and SESQUI are a natural match–both share a sense of wonder for the natural world and a dedication to bringing Canadians scenes of nature from a fresh perspective.
“I live for adventure and thankfully there is no shortage of opportunities for that here,” Les Stroud said. “My SESQUATCH reflects a desire to keep exploring the wonders of Canada, and maybe one day I will finally meet the elusive creature in person.”
Best known for the television series Survivorman, Les Stroud is a survival expert who documents his experiences alone in the wilderness. His work showcases his love for nature and inspires people to connect with the environment. A special season of Survivorman, which aired in 2015, focused on the Sasquatch. The search was prompted by requests from fans and Stroud’s encounter with a mysterious creature while shooting Survivorman in 2009.
In addition to his television projects, Les Stroud works on documentary films and is a musician with an upcoming roster of North American tour dates.
Les Stroud is the first of several notable Canadians engaging audiences through GUESS THAT SESQUATCH. A different Canadian will be featured every two weeks and the public is encouraged to continue playing GUESS THAT SESQUATCH.
